Hokimi is built by a local team: Dutch natives and long-time residents who came from different parts of the world to study, work, live and build families here. We know how much time it takes to find the good stuff: festivals, useful offers, restaurants worth your evening, and the answer to that everyday question.
Our Story
Hokimi started from our own lives in the Netherlands. Many of us arrived here from different parts of the world: first as students, workers or new residents, then as friends, partners, parents and long-term locals. We loved the country, but we also knew the small friction points: finding a good weekend plan, knowing which restaurant is worth the evening, understanding daily rules, spotting useful local services, or discovering an event before it was already over. Along the way, we kept finding brilliant things: creative local businesses, warm neighbourhood places, smart services, festivals, family activities and practical tips. They were just scattered across languages, platforms and local circles. Hokimi is our way to share those good finds in one place, so more people can feel connected to local life faster.
